“In this fable, a town mouse visits his cousin in the country and is amazed by the simple, peaceful life there. The country mouse, in turn, visits the town and is dazzled by the luxury and abundance. However, the town mouse’s life is filled with constant danger and discomfort, while the country mouse enjoys safety and tranquility. Ultimately, the country mouse decides that a humble but secure life is preferable to a luxurious but perilous one. The story teaches that comfort and safety are more valuable than wealth and risk.”
